Training for Fair Housing Professionals

This training is ideal for fair housing investigators, managers and other personnel engaged in fair housing enforcement and case processing. Industry experts and upper-level HUD personnel will provide information that will equip you with the tools to improve your efficiency and efficacy. Session topics include Effective Intake Procedures, Dealing with Challenging Communication Barriers, Investigating Disability-related Complaints (accommodations, modifications and design & construction), and Conciliation. Managers and legal staff will enjoy the opportunity to have group and one-on-one discussions with HUD's FHEO staff. In addition to the above, there will be updates on the FHAP Intake Project, the HUD/FHAP Focus Group Initiative, and tips for Strategic Succession Planning. Tim Smyth, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Enforcement and Programs, will provide a keynote address.
